"I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the Churches. I am...the Bright and Morning Star." Revelation 22:16
We have meditated upon Christ as the "Day Star" and the "Morning Star," but here He, who is the Light of the World, speaks of Himself as the "Bright and Morning Star." Before the rising of the sun, before the millennium dawns, He will be to the church the "Bright and Morning Star." He will dispel the darkness for us before the prophesied judgments come upon a weary, sin sick world; and before the glories depicted in this chapter are revealed, He will appear as the Bright and Morning Star. We must never cease to cherish this great truth, keeping our eyes fixed and our hopes centered upon Himself.
Lord, we are looking for the effulgent glory of Thy presence, Thou Bright and Morning Star. Amen
