      "Weep not; behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed." Revelation 5:5

      King David was the representative of Royalty; Moses of the Law; Abraham of the Promises. Here, Christ is seen in relation to His throne and kingdom rights. "A Root" from the stem, or branch of David (Isaiah 11:1). "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots." Jesus was the Root that was to rise and reign over the Gentiles and in Him would the Gentiles trust. He was worthy confront us concerning Him!

      Lord, we marvel more and more that Thou couldst ever love us and die for us, Thou who art the Mighty One. But we bow at Thy feet in worship and praise. Amen.
