"That which...our hands have handled, of the Word of life" 1 John 1:1
John 1:1, says: "In the beginning was the Word, and the ?Word was with God and the Word was God; the same was in the beginning with God," and this truth bewilders us; but here we have John saying concerning Him who was God that he had looked upon Him and handled Him. He, Himself, said to doubting Thomas, "Handle Me and see. A spirit hath not flesh and bones as ye see Me have." He is the Life-giving Word. The need of a lost world is to know Him. The business of believers is to tell the wonderful story. Paint the picture. Live the life. Sow the seed. And you will find Himself growing into your own life.
"God the Word," how we thank Thee for the revelation of Thyself to us. We are Thine. Thou art ours. Amen.
