"But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" 1 Peter 1:19
Our familiarity with Scriptural terms often causes us to minimize their meaning. Here we have two words so marvelously wonderful that we are hesitant in our effort to make any comment-"Blood" and "Lamb." How precious the Blood! Millions and millions of drops were poured out through the ages from Abel to Christ and everyone of them said: "The Lamb is not yet. But He will come. We are the testimony of His coming." And finally the Spotless, Pure Lamb of God finished the work of redemption. Is He precious to us? So precious that we would be willing to die in His behalf? If so, let us say to Him,
Oh, Lamb of God, my Savior, purchased by Thy precious blood, I surrender all to Thee now.
