"Looking unto Jesus, the...Finisher of our faith." Hebrews 12:2
He is the Captain and leads His hosts with the Sword of the Spirit in His hand. And He is the Finisher (Completer) of our faith. Our Lord set us the example of faith and He will prefect it in us. We see Jesus who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despised the shame and is now set down at the right hand of God. He finished His work of faith, and by grace He will finish it in our experience. There will be trials, there will be severe testing, but we are to "count it all joy." He did, and day by day and step by step, He leads us on. The best is always before us, though the last link may be the cross- but then, "Face to face with Him!"
Lord, hold us fast by the power of faith until we finish our course. Amen.
