By Bible Names of God
"For such an high priest became us who is...separate form sinners." Hebrews 7:26
We use this as a title (or attribute) of our Lord because preachers and teachers are drifting so far away from the belief in the Virgin Birth of Our Lord, denying that He was God manifest in the flesh, and lining up with the Unitarian belief. But remember the sin question could only be settled by a sinless Man -a spotless Lamb. Such was He who knew no sin though He became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. But, though He was separate from sinners He did not avoid them as we are wont to do. No one ever loved them as He did -the Holy One. We must not miss this suggestion if we are to be like Him, loving sinners and following His example.
Lord Jesus, give us a Real love for lost souls and a passion for their salvation. Amen.
