"By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament." Hebrews 7:22
Sometimes we lack assurance. We tremble, perhaps, and lack confidence in the finished work which our Christ has wrought for us. But we have here the statement that Christ has become our Surety, or Security. We are made confident by the fact that He has placed Himself as our Bondsman, our Security. We can draw our drafts upon the Bank of Heaven and He has pledged Himself as our Security. "Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do." Why have we so little faith in His pledged Word? Giving doth not impoverish Him, nor withholding enrich Him.
Let us honor Him by asking today, in His precious Name, large things for His glory. Amen.
