"And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world received up into glory." 1 Timothy 3:16
Here is a sermon of marvellous mystery. In a few words we have given to us the magnitude of the mission of Christ in leaving the glory and coming to this earth, clothed in the garments of flesh; accomplishing His divine mission of redemption while in human form; leaving His witnesses to His crucifixion, resurrection and ascension to His high and holy place in glory. We should stand with uncovered heads and with hearts beating in adoration, worship Him as the Holy Spirit of God emphasizes to us this great truth: He came, He died, He lives in us and He lives in the glory, and we will dwell forever with Him.
Holy Spirit, help us to magnify and glorify the God-Man. Amen.
