"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ." Ephesians. 4:15
We have already viewed Christ as the "Head over all things," but here we have Him as the Head of the body of believers -the church. There is inspiration in this thought -that we are to grow up into Him. How are we to do this? We have His life within us. The Head dominates the body and according to the need, the supply is furnished. The new nature demands a supply which cannot come from any other source than the Head. What a wonderful body the church would be, were it always mindful of its Head and responding to His desire for it!
Lord, help us to look unto Thee, Thou great Head of the Church, and as members of Thy body, grow into Thy likeness. Amen.
