      "But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us...righteousness." 1 Cor. 1:30

      Righteousness is "rightness." We were all wrong and always wrong, but in Him we are made right. All of our righteousness was as filthy rags. There was nothing in us that would commend us to God and never could be. We are made sinless, in Him, for He bore all our sins and paid all the penalty, and His righteousness is imputed to us. What a joy to be consciously in Him! And what a price He paid in order to become our righteousness!

      Lord, teach us to recognize this day our unworthiness and to dwell much upon the fact that Thou Art Our Righteousness. Amen.
