"That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:21
Here we have the grouping of three titles, "Jesus" (Saviour) "Christ" (Anointed) "Lord" (Master). In a few words the great problem of the ages is solved. Sin, with its death-dealing power, wore the crown of victory over mortal man, but there was One greater then Satan, the author of sin, and in that One was manifested the victorious power of grace (unmerited favor) by which, through the sacrifice of Jesus christ, God's condescending love could be manifested in His Son, our Lord and Master.
"Jesus Christ, our Lord"-we breathe the words with joyful lips and give Thee thanks for that grace which has saved and which keeps us. Amen.
