John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
And God Said, "Let there be Light; and there was Light. And God divided the Light from the darkness". Now our Lord Says, "I-AM the Light of the world ("kosmos")". The world is a dark, gloomy place, but "God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all!" If we follow (obey) Him we shall not walk in darkness. "Walking in the Light", we have fellowship with one another and reflect the glory of His Person in the gloom of the world ("shining as stars!"). "Arise, shine, for thy Light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee!" He can only be manifested through the lives of His own and the Light of the Living-Word.
O, Lord of Light, shine in our hearts and in our lives. Amen.
