And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard [him] ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
The Testimony of one woman brings forth from the lips of many this title, "Christ the Saviour of the world!" For a two days' revival, Christ tarried in the little city of the Samaritans and there was a blessed first fruitage to His glory. These people, unlike the Jews, asked for no signs, no miracles. They took Him at His Word, just as we must do! When He Speaks, it is God that Speaks. "We have heard Him ourselves." The need of the world today is the personal experience of believers manifested in a personal devotion to Christ and in personal testimony to a hungry-hearted world.
Oh, Thou Christ, Saviour of the world, baptize us with the Spirit of service for Thee! Amen.
