John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
There is no book like the Bible and there never can be. [Make no mistake!] Christ's interview with the woman at the well and His revelation of Himself is unique and contrary to any conception that could have been made of Him. The Samaritans, as did the Jews, anticipated a Christ ("Anointed One"). This was the Promise given in Dt 18:18. This woman was the last one we would have chosen for such a revelation --- but her soul was filled at once with the Spirit of Life and hope, and her lips bore a testimony --- humiliating to herself --- but bringing Salvation to a multitude. Oh, that OUR lips might bear such convincing, convicting and converting testimony!
