John 1:9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
"The True Light". This is in contrast with false lights. How many there are in our day. Satan is busy sending them forth through false cults, false teachers and false teaching. False lights dazzle the eyes but never reveal truth, nor bring radiance to the soul. The gloom of sin, the uncertainty of life, the dark outlook for the future, confront the sinner, stumbling along, without God and without hope. God has ordained us as lights. Let our lights shine today, and may we help some blinded ones to see Jesus as the true Light of the World (Kosmos, or Creation).
Lord Jesus, in the Light of Thy Word, and in the Light of Thyself, may we witness for Thee today. Amen.
