Luke 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
Listen to the voice of Zacharias, father of John the Baptist, as he voices the wonderful prophesy concerning his son who was to be the prophet of the Lord to prepare the way before Him. Our Lord is here named, "The Highest," or better, "The Most High." He came from the heights of glory to be born in a manger. "Prophet" in the New Testament means a "public expounder" and to us, His redeemed ones, has been commited this honorable title. We are the expounders of this great revelation of the Bible concerning our most highly exalted Lord.
Glory to God in the Highest, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Whom we claim as our own. Amen.
