Mark 12:6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
The Savior is in Jerusalem. The chief priests and scribes come to Him and question His authority. Jesus answers them in the parable of the vineyard, picturing to them the treatment of the servants who were sent to gather the fruit, telling the story --- so old, so strange --- of the attitude of the human heart toward God. He sent His Son, His "well-beloved" Son, and they took Him and killed Him and cast Him out. How could they? They have cast Him out of the schools and many of the churches, (and many have cast Him out of their hearts and lives), though all we have of earthly civilization today we owe to Him.
God's Well-Beloved Son, we enthrone Thee today in our hearts. Help us to worship and adore Thee. Amen.
