      Matt 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

      This is the title of the long-looked-for Savior --- the Anointed One. Prophets had fortold His coming and now His Kingly authority ("Juris-Diction", "Dominion") is recorded. Over three hundred times is this title used in the New Testament. From "Christ" comes the word "Christian", and from "Christian" comes the word, "Christianity". Our Gospel is the Gospel of Christ of which we are not ashamed, for it is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone that believeth. (Ro 1:16)

      Lord, as "Christ-ones" let us honor Thee by having the same anointing power resting upon us as we enter the service of the day. Amen.
