By Bible Names of God
Jere 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this [is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. {THE LORD...: Heb. Jehovahtsidkenu}
We were helpless, hopeless sinners, but "Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth" (Ro 10:4). "The righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit." Christ has done it all {for those who so Walk}, and by this we are therefore sure of the future. "Henceforth there is laid up for us a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give" at that day "to all who love His appearing". Do we "love His appearing"? Are we praying for Him to come? Then this crown awaits us.
Lord Jesus Christ, Thou who art our Righteousness, come quickly! Amen.
