Isai 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.
It will be well to read and meditate upon this entire chapter and note the contrasts. He was a "Tender Plant", i.e., a twig or sprout pushing its way up through the dry ground. Nothing to attract attention --- just a Jewish boy, the offspring of a despised nation. Is it not so today? Some are able to see the wonders of His grace and glory, while others despise Him, and reject Him, as did the Jews. He was the "suffering Messiah". He will be the "King of Glory" to Whom every knee shall bow and every tongue confess; "Thou Art Lord!"
Oh, Thou "Tender Plant", how we adore Thee Who art more than all the worlds to us. We kiss Thy feet and worship Thee. Amen.
