      Isai 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

      We have here the most wonderful revelation of our wonderful Lord in the whole Bible, --- five names in one verse! We will view them one at a time. Our faith is strengthened in meditation. The Fatherhood of God is revealed here, --- One God, One Father, One Lord Jesus Christ. Meditate again for a moment on the word "Wonderful!" and rejoice with joy unspeakable that this name has been given Him.

      Dear Lord, Thou Who art the "Wonderful One", and yet who took upon Thyself the form of a little child, help us to avail ourselves of the wonders of Thy gracious provision for all our needs. Amen.
