JEHOVAH OF HOSTS

By Bible Names of God

      Isai 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory. {one...: Heb. this cried to this} {the whole...: Heb. his glory is the fulness of the whole earth}

      The repetition of the word "holy" is in accord with other portions of the Word of God. The Trinity --- The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit --- is also seen here, for they are "holy, holy holy", and they are one Person Whom we worship and adore. Wherever "Jehovah Of Hosts" is really known and truly acknowledged there goes up from the heart of the believer the echo of this doxology of praise to Him. Listen to the words of the writer to the Hebrews in Heb 7:26: "For such an high priest became us who is holy, harmless, undefiled, seperate from sinners and made higher than the heavens." And again, in Eph 1:18: "That we may know * * * what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power!"

      Dear Lord Jesus, "Jehovah Of Hosts", we echo this prayer this day: "Holy, Holy, Holy!" Amen.
