Psal 22:6 But I [am] a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
In Isaiah 49:7 it is Written of our Lord, "One whom man despiseth, .... Whom the nation abhoreth", and this was literally true of Jesus of Nazareth as He walked the earth, and as He hung on the cruel cross: "And they that passed by Him reviled Him-Mt27:19". Even in our own day and in our own land, our Lord is demeaned by men, denied and repudiated as the Son of God.
Lord Jesus, may it never be that we shall have any fellowship with those that make Thee a reproach, but may we always honor and glorify and magnify Thy Holy Name. Amen.
