America is Finished, Unless...

By Pierre Bynum

"I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me..." (Jer 1:16).
"The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God" (Ps 9:17).
"If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed" (Dt 8:19-20).

America, blessed of God above all nations, is bound by the cords of her many sins (Pr 5:21-23). We are rushing towards judgment. This can be averted only by national REPENTANCE and a God-sent Awakening.

      WHY AMERICA IS FINISHED

Although the gates of hell will not prevail over the Church and a remnant of God's people will survive, America, as we have known it, is finished. The reasons are clear and simple:
      1. God is not mocked. What we have sown, we must reap. When Aachan sinned the whole nation suffered. When a culture accepts immorality there is a societal price to pay. But when a nation officially embraces public policy that enshrines immorality and baby murder, it is doomed.
      2. God's law is supreme. Our nation has codified immorality and rebellion against God in both federal and state legislation. God is taking action. We're on a collision course with Him!
      3. God is Just and consistent with His Word. Scripture is replete with the promises, warnings and historical record of God's judgments. He is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34; Rom 2:3-13). If God spares America, he will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah (Ez 16:48-50).
      4. History testifies to God's judgment of the Nations. Nations rise and fall under the Sovereign hand of God. Righteousness exalts a nation (Pr 14:34). History verifies the Bible promise "God shall cast the wicked into hell and all the nations that forget God" (Ps 9:17). Ancient Israel, Carthage, Greece, Rome and the Aztecs all practiced child sacrifice. Each nation was destroyed and has disappeared.
      5. We've broken our Nation's Covenant with God! America differs from other nations in that she was dedicated by her founders to be a Christian Republic. They intended America to be a light unto the world, an example of what God will do for a nation whose people serve Him. And God has blessed her as none other. But unto whom much is given, much shall be required (Lk 12:48).
      6. We multiply Abortion & Infanticide.
In God's eyes, unpunished murders by abortion have rendered America "unclean," "defiled" and "cursed" (Gen 4:11; Dt 21:1-9; Ps 106:38-39; Is 24:5-6).
He warns nations which sanction and encourage innocent blood to be shed, promising, "I will heap calamities and evils upon them...hunger and famine...pestilence...deadly plagues...terror will reign...it is mine to avenge; I will repay" (Dt 32:23-35; Jdg 9:57).

He warns that such a nation's "cities will be turned into ruins," they will be devastated and turned into objects of scorn (Lev 26:31; Ez 11:2-13; 22:2).
In 25 years we have murdered 33,000,000 babies, 1/3 of a new generation of Americans, and we have contributed to the wholesale slaughter of hundreds of millions of innocent children through foreign "aid."
God's judgments will continue to mount for our nation until our "bloodguilt" has been thoroughly cleansed from our midst (Dt 19:13; 21:8-9).
      7. We have forsaken God! Not content to simply forget Him, we have set about to remove every vestige of God's memory from public life. Supported by humanist judges, our nation's "teachers" scour school textbooks, curricula and programs to be sure American children are not polluted by any reference to "God," "His Word," or America's "Godly Heritage."
The Evangelical church has been a co-conspirator by abandoning God's moral Law as "irrelevant" and re-painting Jesus, not as the God of the Old Testament come in the flesh, but as the all-tolerant, non-judgmental, impossible-to-anger Christ who listens and blesses but never condemns. We have altogether forgotten the God of the Bible and created for ourselves "another Jesus" (2 Cor 11:4).
      8. We've become a modern Babylon, exporting our wickedness to the nations of the world. The Moslems fitly call us the "great satan." Our missionaries tell us Americans have taken advantage of the "new openness" in the former Soviet Union by flooding the nation with pornography, decadent music and the worst of what America has to offer. No nation on earth fits the identity of Babylon in God's prophecy of end-time judgment as the U.S.A. does (Rev 18:2-19:3).
      9. We've given ourselves to detestable practices!
Practicing homosexuals are ordained to the "Christian" ministry. Our culture is becoming what we watch with our eyes as the entertainment industry takes us further into ever-more-degrading high-tech vulgarity, sex and violence. The information "Super Highway," which has brought the capacity for advanced worldwide communication to every private home and office, is dominated by the presence of "Cybertech" pornography. We are sinking into a moral depravity never before imaginable.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR OUR CHILDREN

Scripture paints a very clear picture of the depths to which a society can sink and the severity with which God will judge if He continues to be ignored. Our children will suffer devastating calamities to the third and fourth generation from our neglect .
Years of ignoring God have produced cyclical crops of lawlessness and societal breakdown that will take generations to mend, even if America repents this very day! Even if we do REPENT, our children must contend with both the ever-increasing natural consequences of unchecked sin and lawlessness and the aftermath of God's cataclysmic judgments. If we do not repent now, today's crime and lawlessness will seem like nothing compared to conditions ten years from now.

OUR CHILDREN IN THE YEAR 2007

If our nation continues along its present course, this is what our children can expect in American society and in the Church in another 10 years:
Social Conditions - Our children will live in "constant suspense, filled with dread" due to a level of violence and lawlessness impossible for us to imagine (Dt 28:29b-30, 66-67). Their generation will harvest the crop that comes from today's violent high-tech music, movies and television (Mt 6:22-23).
If trends continue, homosexuality will become the "third gender" in America and our children will be required by law to give homosexuals special treatment (jobs, housing, credit, etc.). "Homophobia" will be the crime of the decade. Those who publicly oppose homosexuality will be persecuted by government and business.
Our children's peers, devastated by broken homes, will be emotionally handicapped. Our now devastating family troubles will have only multiplied by 2007.
Government & Justice - Our children will inherit a POLICE STATE (1 Sam 8:10-18). An armed bureaucracy is being prepared to impose the will of America's socialist oligarchy upon the people. The Constitution and Bill of Rights will continue to be ignored. New laws will blatantly violate the Constitution and few will resist them. More Waco, Ruby Ridge and Oklahoma City-like incidents will have precipitated the passage of laws which radically empower an already all-powerful federal government. Many will want to resist government tyranny, but penalties for resistance will be so high that most will passively submit.
Government will enforce "politically correct" family policy, including the "no spanking" law required by the U.N Convention on the Rights of the Child. Christians who love their children, will live in fear of losing them. State-employed social workers will be the "family police."
Christians who preach "hate" (anti-abortion, anti-homosexuality, anti-U.N., anti-multiculturalism, etc.) will have their phones tapped and will be watched as suspects of "terrorism." Government bureaucrats will be armed not just with weapons but with laws, ordinances, and regulations governing every aspect of life.
There will be no justice in America, especially for real Christians.
The Economy - The economic judgments God has promised in Deuteronomy 28 will have taken their toll in our children's America. God has declared a curse upon both our "cities" and our rural communities (v 16.) America will have grown poor and many will be in "dire poverty" (v. 17, 30b-33, 43-44, 47-48a). The American dream will have disappeared (v. 29b, 45). Droughts, floods, pestilence and disease will plague our agricultural industries (v. 21-24). God has promised to "ruin" the nation that forgets Him and to take pleasure in doing so (v. 20, 63). He may use our government's own vain attempts to control the economy with enslaving taxation, oppressive regulation, excessive spending and treasonous international economic treaties to bring America down (see 1 Sam 8:10-18).
Education - Our children's children will be raised in a nation where public education is the government's means of indoctrinating its subjects.
The clash between humanist public education with its evolution and immoral sex education and theistic Christian academy and homeschool education can only continue to escalate. Christian education has always been the greatest of all threats to the humanist state and it cannot continue to tolerate the success of the Church and homeschool movements. Our children will face much greater abuse and persecution than we have when they try to pass on their Christian faith and heritage.
National Security - Our children will live in a nation whose National Defense capabilities have been almost completely destroyed after two decades of intentionally dismantling its military. Led by women in many instances, the U.S. Armed Forces will be little more than a lackey for the United Nations.
The promises of foreign attack (we have no defense against incoming missiles from Red China or other "rogue" nations) declared in Deuteronomy 28 may yet happen to America in our children's time, if repentance and revival have not precluded them.
International Relations - Unless God acts, our children will reside in the New World Order, where U.S. sovereignty no longer exists. We will be diminished players in a world dominated by new regional super-powers.
American social policy will be dictated by international agencies and treaties like the U.N. Convention on Rights of the Child. That treaty's terms have already been used to deny rights to homeschool parents in France.
The "New Womanhood"- A Hillary Clinton-like president could be a possibility in America by 2005. The political coalition among radical feminists, the teachers unions, organized labor, homosexuals, liberal minority groups and environmentalists played a big part in the elections of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
If men, particularly pastors and Christian men, continue to abdicate their roles in civil society, radical feminists will eventually succeed in their goal of eradicating traditional gender roles, the structure of the family and the responsibility of motherhood through government enforced public policy.
Scripture teaches that female-dominated government is a curse and reversed gender identity an abomination. God holds His leaders responsible for upholding and teaching this truth (Dt 22:5; Is 3:11-14a).
Life in the Church - In 2007 our children may find that being part of Bible-believing churches which preach "hate" (i.e., against abortion, homosexuality & other perverse sexual practices and lifestyles, euthanasia, suicide, anti-Christ public education, etc.) could be risky.
Churches that preach against unBiblical public policy or against ungodly political candidates will frequently and routinely lose their tax exemption.
Anti-life Medicine & Science - Our children will face a pro-death culture in which technology is exalted and human life diminished. The Chinese government's forced-abortion/sterilization population control policy, countenanced by our present administration, is likely to be encouraged in America and around the world. If trends continue, physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia will be legal in America in 2007 as they already are in some countries.
Science and technology will continue to share leadership with militant feminists to advance the use of aborted baby parts for the benefit of the living. They will continue to sanction homosexual behavior despite the AIDS epidemic.

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?

First, we must individually and collectively humble ourselves before God and REPENT for forsaking Him. We must, of course, REPENT of all sin, seek God's face and pursue His holiness. But we must especially REPENT for our apathy, indifference, prayerlessness and lack of involvement (saltlessness) in influencing the direction of our nation. We are all to blame (2 Chr 7:14; Eph 4:17-18; 5:15-17; Rev 3:15-19).
Second, We must PRAY. We must pray alone, with our families, with our friends and neighbors. We must consecrate special seasons of prayer, conduct prayer vigils and make congregational prayer a regular and important part of all our worship services (2 Chr 7:14; Joel 2:12-17; 1 Tim 2:1-8).
Please note: In order to modify or even avert the catastrophes predicted above, our church leaders will have to realize that they cannot carry on as before. Prayer can no longer be relegated to the back of the bus. It must become the foremost order of business every day and especially on Sunday (Mt 21:13).

Third, we must fast and call others to fast in this critical hour. Time is of the essence (Neh 9:1-3; Es 4:3; Dan 9:3; Joel 2:15; Mt 17:21).
Fourth, we must pray for our pastors, that they will understand the times and courageously warn of coming judgments and rouse the Church out of her slumber (Is 56:10; Ez 3:8-9; 1 Chr 12:32; Eph 5:14).
Fifth, we must urgently warn all those we can of God's coming judgment upon America: our family, our friends, our neighbors. Judgment is coming! (Ez 33:2-6; Acts 20:31)
Sixth, we must encourage them to warn others (God told Ezekiel the blood of his countrymen would be upon his head if he failed to warn them. We are each called to be God's watchmen in our own nation and sphere (Pr 13:24; Mt 3:7-12; Jn 8:32; Acts 17:21; Eph 4:14-15).
Seventh, We must individually acknowledge our own Christian responsibility in civil government, accept it, become involved proactively and repossess the ground we have surrendered to satan, while not neglecting the other spheres of government (self, home and church) (2 Sam 23:2-7; Rom 13:4-7; 2 Tim 4:1-2). Eighth, We must also call upon our pastors to revisit the theology of our Christian forefathers and pray they will embrace their task to vigorously teach and call their flocks to Biblical responsibility in civic affairs (Is 33:22; Acts 20:20, 26-28; 1 Co 15:25).
Finally, we must appeal to God to graciously grant America yet another Great Awakening and the Church a renewed vision for America to fulfil its God-given calling to be "one nation under God" (Ps 33:12; 72:11; 82:8; Pr 14:34; 29:18).
