BASIC BIBLE TRUTH (GOD) Part 1

By Robert Wurtz II

      GOD
      Part 1

God without apology in Genesis 1:1 states that in the beginning, He created the Heavens and the Earth. God does not make any attempt to prove nor discuss his exist-ence for he had already "DEALT UNTO EVERY MAN THE MEASURE OF FAITH." To which he stated in Hebrews 11:6   'But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.' Further John the Revelator stated: 'He that believeth on the Son Of God hath the witness in himself; he that BELIEVETH NOT God hath made him a liar; because he BELIEVETH NOT the record that God gave of his Son ( I John 5:10). Later and even finally John said in Revelation: 'He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my Son.   But the fearful, and UNBELIEVING, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and Idolaters and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death (Revelation 21:7-8).

Notice how UNBELIEF is mentioned in the same context with abominable, whoremonger, sorcery, and Idolatry. Why is that? Doesn't UNBELIEF justify us before God? After all isn't Atheism an excuse? NO! Not at all. God has left Himself "A GREAT CLOUD OF WITNESSES" and a "RECORD" behind, that utterly stops every mouth. God has dealt to EVERY MAN "THE MEASURE OF FAITH" and has revealed Himself to man in 7 different ways which we will now discuss:

      1)PERSONAL ENCOUNTERS

When God set out to create man he made him from the "dust of the earth" forming his body into his own image. God then "breathed" the breath of life into his nostrils and he became a living soul. Now was the task. God set forth to make man in his image after the "inner man." But unlike the dust that yielded to every move and motion of the 'sculptor,' man's heart was not so yielded; for he was a "free moral agent". In one day God formed man into his image after the outer man, but since that day he has set out (with little cooperation from man) to mold mans heart into his likeness. With only two commands he sent man into his will. God's will as revealed was to tend the Garden and to not touch the TREE OF KNOWL-EDGE. Man in his first trip onto the "potter's wheel" failed miserably in the first display of unbelief, which led to question God, and then to sin (Genesis 3:1-24). However, God had a plan to put man into the ground, and raise him again in an incorruptable body and without a sin nature, by the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

In Genesis 3:8 we find God walking with Adam and Eve in the "cool of the day" and they were naked and not ashamed (Genesis 2:25). Moses in Exodus 34:29 had been with God in the mountain and his face was "shining" from the Glory of God, which leaves us no reason to believe otherwise of Adam and Eve when they walked with God in the "cool of the day." They having sinned buy eating of the tree found themselves "naked,"and they sewed fig leaves together for a covering. Moses with a vail covered the Glory; now they with fig leaves cover the flesh (Greek Sarx). So now, God made them a covering of skins (Genesis 3:21) to which he set in order forever his requirement of a Blood Sacrifice for Sins
